Our First Trip

On May 30th... next week... we will be going down to Guatemala to see Jose Daniel for the first time. We pray for him every day and we have dozens of photos, but now, finally, we will be able to hold this little one who holds so much hope for us. He is our child of hope! Hope, not as in "wish" but as in "promise" ... he holds the promise of so much good to come. Life is beautiful. He has life and we so desperately long to join his life to ours.

This is very exciting! We have a friends that are about to celebrate the 1 1/2 year anniversary of their little girl's homecoming from China. They also posted the whole trip on a blog and it just made me feel very connected to their child. I am already head over heals for little Joseph Daniel. How precious a gift of God that he provided the inspiration for a name that would speak to your hearts. God bless your trip and carry you safetly there and back without too much sadness in having to wait even longer to have him come home. This is very encouraging for us as well in our process of becoming parents again, this time through adoption. We are going to check in regularly. Love- Laura

Hi Keith and Sandra,

Our thoughts are with you constantly as you are in Guatemala. We are very, very, very happy for you and we are amazed at God's loving kindness, goodness and His amazing provision. We are so excited to meet our nephew and the children's cousin soon. Please send an update soon. We are wondering how the first meeting with your new son went. Our prayers are with you and with Caleb and Sofia back home. We love you!
